The Texas Permitless Carry Online Course from Freedom Firearms is a self-paced, video-based class that walks you through the laws behind Texas permitless carry (also called constitutional carry). There’s no test, no shooting, and no application required — just about an hour of instruction you can complete from your phone, tablet, or computer.

About Texas Permitless Carry

Permitless carry, commonly known as constitutional carry, took effect in Texas on September 1, 2021. In general, it allows eligible adults to carry a handgun — openly or concealed — without a state-issued license. That said, permitless carry does not remove the legal responsibility to know Texas weapons law. Being legally able to purchase a firearm does not automatically mean you meet the eligibility requirements to carry one without a license, and the rules around prohibited places and situations still apply in full.
