The requirements to complete the Class are 4 hours of instruction, plus a shooting proficiency qualification and a written test.  

For the shooting proficiency, bring the gun you want to qualify with and a minimum of 50 rounds of ammo. 

Ammo must be factory ammo for qualifying (no reloads).  You may qualify with a semi-auto or revolver.

The Shooting Proficiency requires 50 shots – 20 at 3 yards, 20 at 7 yards and 10 at 15 yards.  A perfect score is 250 and a minimum of 175 or 70% is required to qualify.  

The class tuition (which is our class) for a New Licensee is $99 – this includes the class instruction and shooting qualification.  

Once you take our class, you’ll return a certificate of completion to DPS. 

You will upload the LTC-100 form we give you upon completing the LTC class.  

We’ll cover the complete licensing process during the class to ensure you have everything you need.
